Instagram is one of the most popular and influential apps right now. We spend so much time on Instagram going through our favourite profiles, stalking our favourite content creators or watching funny pet videos. Wouldn't it be great if you could earn a few coins while on this popular app?

Here we take a look at how you can use this popular social media to your benefit and earn some money.


You can partner up with various brands to upload sponsored posts for your followers. More than 70% of people say they would believe content shared by a common individual rather a brand. When you partner up with brands, you give them exposure to your followers with your opinions and views, which further interests your audience to check out the brand. You may also be given a promo code with the brand. With this code, they can keep track of how many people have made a purchase from their brand coming from your profile. The more exposure they get from your profile the more collaborations you will have in the future. For each sponsored post you get paid depending upon the brand, you may or may not get PR packages based on the brand's policies.


A brand affiliate is more concerned with the selling of the product. In sponsored posts, you give your opinions and views about the certain product which influences people to look at the brand or buy the products mentioned. However, in affiliate marketing, the buyers are given a wide range of products to choose from. The links lead them to the brand's purchasing website where they are met with the variety of products that the brand carries and they can decide what they want or need. You need to change your account status to a business profile to insert the affiliate link in your bio. Every affiliate gets a separate link directing the audience to the same website so that they can track which buyer has come from whose profile.


If you're a business account, Instagram allows you to link products in your posts. This is similar to how you would tag a person in a post. You can add the link to the product you're promoting and this will take the buyer to the in-app checkout of the product. This not only increases the sales of the brand from your post/link, but it also makes it user-friendly as the customer does not have to go to your account, click the link in the bio, find their desired product and then checkout. However, you won't be able to do this if your account is not set on the creator/business profile.


You can create an Instagram page for your own products or a brand if you have one. You can sell anything on there. You can promote any homemade products that you might make for example homemade candles, coasters, wall hangings, even your paintings and photography. You can promote your business or products with an aesthetic feed. Make sure that the aesthetic of your feed is a reflection of your brand or products. Try to create focus points on your feed by adding pops of colours, or you can opt for giveaways to increase your base.
