Aarogya Setu App
This is one of the most useful apps that you can download at the moment. This app was recently launched to make it easier for people to keep track of the Covid-19 cases in the country. This was specially developed to help flatten the curve during the coronavirus pandemic. It provides you with all the important information regarding the coronavirus like health risks, symptoms, preventive measures, contact tracing, etc. It is available for Android as well as iOS users.
BHIM UPI App
BHIM which stands for Bharat Interface for Money is an app through which a person can make cashless payment with their phones. It is a digital wallet with which you can transfer or receive money from one bank account to another. You can transfer money using their VPA or via UPI QR. This app can be used throughout the day irrespective of what time your bank opens or closes. It was developed by National Payment Corporation of India and is available for both Android and iOS users.
Aaykar Setu App
The Aaykar Setu app has been developed by the Income Tax department of India. It serves as a guide to the taxpayer to understand taxation and give solutions to their queries. It enables taxpayers to understand the process, know the utilities available at the income tax website and help them to file tax for themselves. It also keeps the users updated on any new forms or updates in this field. It is a free app however it is currently only available for Android users.
The mAadhaar app works as a proof of identification similar to a normal Aadhaar Card. It eliminates the need of carrying a physical form your of aadhaar card as it stores a soft copy of your aadhaar card which helps you in identification purposes. It also makes it easier for you to update any details like address or even having your physical Aadhaar card reprinted. It also supports multiple languages so people from all over the country can use it easily. It is available for both android as well as iOS users.
This app acts as a digital locker to store any important documents you might need frequently in the future. With this app, you can access any of those document on the app as it eliminates any need of carrying physical documents. It can also be used to verify or issue any government documents like driving licence, Voter ID, etc. When you create an account on this app you are provided cloud storage to keep your documents, which is linked to your Aadhaar. mPassport Seva App
This app provides you with various services like registration, applying for a passport, knowing application status. It was designed by the Ministry of External Affairs under their Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) division. It was also designed under the Passport Seva Project that aims at providing any passport-related services to the citizens in an easier way. This app allows you various services like finding the Passport Seva Kendra, registration, tracking of your application status, etc. It is both available for both Android and iOS users.
This app was designed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). This app allows you to carry your educational books along with you on the go. Apart from books, it has multiple audios, videos, flipbooks to make your learning process easier. It is also a multilingual app so that the language barriers do not halt the learning process. It also allows you to highlight important points and make notes. It is available for both Android and iOS users.
This is a citizen engagement app offered by the government. It allows the user to give their suggestions to central ministries or organisations. You can post comments related to the government's policies and initiatives suggesting improvements and/or changes. It also keeps you updated about any new policies released by the government. during the current times, the app also keeps the users updated about the coronavirus statistics around the country.
GST Rate Finder App
The GST Rate Finder app is a ready reckoner for the Goods and Services Tax (GST). A taxpayer can search for applicable CGST (Central GST), SGS (State GST), UTGST (Union Territory GST) rate and Compensation Cess on a supply. It was developed by the Central Board of Excise and Custom to offer a simplified representation of GST-related information. It was formerly only available for Android but has been made available for iOS users too recently.
UMANG which stands for Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance can be used to access government services made available to the public. This app was developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to eliminate the need for several apps crowding the user's phone. If you have this app installed on your phone you don't need numerous other apps to access passport seva, file income tax, etc. It can all be done on this app. It is available for both Android as well as iOS users.
