When you shop online, your visual sense is the only one being stimulated (excluding videos). It gets really important to make a lasting impression on the customer when all the other senses have taken a step back. Unlike a retail store you don't get the opportunity to see, touch, feel or smell the product, which is required to make the right decision.

Using creative visuals to promote your product/service is important when no other senses of the customers are being stimulated.
